Beauty & Booze at Sip & Dry in Ivy City

UncategorizedPosted by Kacy

13 Jan

I’m not a beauty blogger. Not because I don’t want to be beautiful, but because I am hopelessly inept at applying makeup correctly or doing anything beyond the super basic with my hair. Which is exactly why I’m so excited about brand new Sip & Dry opening tomorrow in Ivy City.
Sip & Dry DCSip & Dry is a next-level blow dry bar offering a full array of hair and beauty services, all paired with a craft cocktail. I’ve never really been that drawn to the dry bar experience, but throw a full service bar in the mix and I am all over it.
Sip & Dry barThe stunning space in the newly renovated Hecht Warehouse is glamorous and inviting. We stopped in for a sneak peek earlier this week, after a delicious dinner at Pidzza next door (more about that coming on Monday!), and I couldn’t stop oohing and aahing over each fabulous detail.

Flamingo bathroomEver since I had my hair and makeup done for my friend Victoria’s wedding a few months back, I’ve been wishing for a full glam squad who could come to my house every day and make me beautiful without any effort on my part. While that’s probably never going to happen, Sip & Dry is definitely the next best thing.
Services and cocktails can be mixed and matched, or let the experts guide you. The prices seemed pretty reasonable to me, especially considering that each style includes a cocktail. If you want something super quick and affordable, there’s also the option to stop in for “the mock-tail” and get a stylish ponytail for a fun night out.

Sip & Dry is holding their grand opening tomorrow, January 14th in Ivy City at 2004 Hecht avenue NE, Washington, DC 20002. They will operate Monday through Sunday. Check their website for hours and additional information.
