Chester Minima Suitcase: Doing Away with the Travel Blues

Our Tasty EscapesPosted by Tom

30 Dec

As much as Kacy and I love to travel, we’re guilty of not putting enough thought into the quality of our luggage. We’ve spent many a trip cursing at snagging zippers, stuck wheels and broken handles. When coming home, we vow to replace our cheap luggage and then promptly forget to do so. It’s a bit shameful. Fortunately, Chester recently reached out to us asking for an honest review of their Minima suitcase and now we’re finally starting to realize the difference a high-quality carry-on can make.

We really didn’t appreciate the difference a better suitcase could make until finally owning one and seeing it firsthand. The Chester Minima suitcase is a nice-looking, lightweight and high-functioning piece of luggage that makes a great streamlined carry-on. It really delivered in a few key areas that frustrate even the most seasoned of travelers: packing efficiency and portability.

Packing Efficiency

For us, packing really boils down to two things: we want to fit all our stuff in the bag and to easily be able to find and get to it. The Chester Minima does a great job of maximizing the available space of the suitcase while having enough compartments and dividers to keep everything organized.

Chester’s suitcases were created with the minimalist traveler in mind. So while this might not be the best bag for a two-week trip, it’s excellent for business travel and quick getaways. Chester didn’t waste their time on high-tech gadgets and add-ons that the average traveler has no use for. Instead, they focus on using durable materials at an affordable price.

My first time using this suitcase was for a business trip to Boston for a few days. It was only a 4-day trip but the colder weather meant that I needed to pack a lot of heavier clothes. The Chester Minima ended up being the perfect size, even affording me some extra space for a few optional items.

Suitcase Portability

One of the things that impressed me the most during the trip, however, was how easy it was to get the suitcase around. The wheels glide effortlessly and without any wobble or change in direction. The handles are all very solid and sturdy, making it easy to lift and pull around. This made a big difference when walking around the streets of Boston and having to navigate cross streets, crowds of tourists and cobblestone sidewalks.

Lastly, the suitcase itself is very light, which meant that I had no issue in tossing it up in the overhead compartment when boarding for my flights. Travel days are stressful enough so any little added convenience can go a long way.

Some additional benefits include a TSA lock, free two-day shipping on all orders and a 10-year warranty.

If you’re looking for a sleek, lightweight carry-on that’s also affordable, we definitely recommend giving Chester a try.

We received a complimentary Chester Minima suitcase in exchange for our honest review. All thoughts and opinions are honest and completely our own. We were not paid to post this content, but this post contains affiliate links.
